Let's talk "back to school..."

Who else loves back to school time? I don't know if it's the crisp fall air (here in Northern Michigan, anyway), the new notebooks and pencils on display in the store (I have a slight obsession with notebooks and pens), or just the idea of starting fresh with something new. Whatever the reason, I love back to school time. I always did as a kid and still do as an adult!

I know for me, I love having a fresh start! I love New Years for the same reason. There's something invigorating and inspiring about a new notebook and pen and a blank page to do new things. Literally and figuratively.

This year I will have a 6th grader (wait, what?!) and two 3rd graders (yep, my twinnies aren't babies anymore). I'm also going to have a college graduate who is going back to take some writing classes (that ones me;)).

I decided to pursue my passion for writing a step further and get some technical skills. I don't know what I want to do with writing whether it be some freelance work, blogging, or maybe a best-selling novel (hey, a girl can dream right?!). So I will be getting myself some new notebooks, pens, and books to join the ranks in the back to school celebration!

Another thing about back to school time is getting back to a routine! I know for me that includes packing lunches, meal planning, kids' activities, homework, etc! I would love to hear everyone's ideas for organizing their family calendar, planning meals, and keeping on a routine! I think I will devote an entire blog post to this topic soon!
