My 1st Yoga Experience!

Ok, so I love the idea of yoga...the comfy clothes, the colorful mats, candles lit, the relaxing of the body and mind, the whole thing.  It intrigues and inspires me!  I also love essential oils, so when the chance came up to try gentle yoga mixed with essential oils you can bet I jumped at the chance!  

A dear friend of mine (who happens to be my neighbor!) and I decided to give it a try.  She's been to yoga before so had an idea of what to expect.  Me, on the other hand, I have tried videos and had a small idea of how it worked but I have never been to a class.  

Let me just tell you....I LOVED IT!  The relaxing of the body and mind is something I have been craving for like forever!  It was amazing!  I learned more about using oils and how they can aid in mediatiaion (for me this is a relaxation technique and I don't use it for a spiritual cause unless I'm praying to the living God) and deep relaxation.  

As I've written before, I do struggle with anxiety so it's hard for me to be still and relax.  Yoga is a great way to teach the mind and body to let go and just "be."   I think that as a society we are so busy that our minds and bodies are craving a major time-out.  I'm here to tell you that yoga is a great way to check out for a bit.  I definitely plan to make yoga a habit!  I would love to hear your experiences with yoga as well!
